Moms dot Coms

The Moms drove up Vivian (my cherished surf mobile) this past weekend. I took her to all my favorite dining establishments in hipsterville, and for mother's day we went to see La Misma Luna (that movie was made for mother's day.) We also went and checked out the Cai Guo-Qiang : I Want To Believe exhibit at the Guggenheim, which is up until the 28th. Go and check it out before it's gone.

Cinco De Mayo

Here is a little history on the country that brought us burritos, fish tacos, and most importantly Tecate!

Cinco de Mayo (Spanish for "5th of May") is primarily a regional and not an obligatory federal holiday in Mexico. The holiday commemorates an initial victory of Mexican forces led by General Ignacio Zaragoza SeguĂn over French forces in the Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862. The date is observed in the United States and other locations around the world as a celebration of Mexican heritage and pride.
