Born and raised on the Northwest Panhandle of Florida I spent my summers between my hometown (Pensacola, FL) and stints with my father in Jacksonville, FL. During the summer of 1987 I paddled a navy and yellow canvas raft into the line up at Mayport Poles and on that day my love of riding the ocean began. Fast forward ten years and you will find me at my mail box sweating profusely about to open my acceptance letter to Flagler College in St. Augustine, FL.
::CALIFORNIA::
After four years of college and that one year of "I'm going to figure out what I am doing while my girlfriend graduates" I decided to move to Encinitas, CA. After a couple of years in Encinitas I relocated to the magestic point breaks of Ventura County. During my stint in Ventucky I had the privilege of touring the US with Thomas Campbell's film "Sprout." Nothing could have given me a better perspective of where I needed to be than touring the country in a van full of surfboards during the year of election.

So on May 14th, 2005 similar to that day on my canvas raft in Jacksonville, I made my way into Williamsburg, a neighborhood in the borough of Brooklyn which combined with four other boroughs makes up New York City. That brings you up-to-speed. I'm a Florida boy fresh out of California living in Brooklyn, who has a polygamous relationship sometimes love affair with the ocean and the city.
Whether it be bro-ing down with the Dominican and Puerto Rican homies down at the local bagel store or ordering up some stinky cod fish in Portugal, not a day goes by that I don't wish all my friends and family were with me to experience the hilarity of everyday life. With that said I present to you VACA DEL MAR "tales of burritos, babes, waves, and such." Use it as a blue print of success, mediocrity,or failure. The only constant is you can count on things getting weird.
